Underage sex problem

21/11/2008 9:35:00 AM
GRIFFITH’S police chief has appealed for residents with any information relating to truck drivers soliciting sex from underage Aboriginal girls along the state’s major trucking routes to come forward.

In response to growing concerns over some truck drivers trading drugs for sex with indigenous girls, the NSW Police and NSW Aboriginal Land Council are offering rewards of $5000 for information leading to prosecutions. While saying there had been no incidents reported locally, Griffith LAC commander Michael Rowan urged the community to be alert.
