Alleged drug man Bubbles Barbaro released on bail

A SECOND man arrested in connection with the Black Friday drug sting has been granted bail.

Domenico “Bubbles” Barbaro, 31, was granted bail on strict conditions after fronting Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.

Barbaro was forced to put up $150,000 surety

for his release and is required to report to Griffith Police Station twice daily.

The court also ordered he reside at his Lake Wyangan address

and not travel outside NSW other than to attend court.

He will reappear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with conspiracy to import a commercial quantity of ecstacy, trafficking ecstacy and aiding and abetting the importation of cocaine.

Barbaro is one of five local men charged in relation to a world record seizure of ecstacy.

Pasquale “Poppy” Sergi will have his bail application heard in Melbourne on Friday.

Meanwhile, a Victorian man has become the 25th person charged nationally in relation to the drug seizure.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
